The Health and Safety executive have invited Weldability Sif to be a member of their new Welding Partnership which is currently focusing its attention on the hazards arising from Welding Fume. Whilst the industry has for many years advised welding consumable users to ensure that adequate precaution is taken in the safe use of the welding process, the HSE is keen to support the industry in getting the message about the long term effects of welding fume, firmly across.

Our Managing Director, Adrian Hawkins, has attended a number of industry driven meetings in relation to this proposal and together with fellow support from the AWD, BCGA, TWI, Air Products, Doosan Babcock, Rolls Royce and others, is working towards delivering new methods to assist process users adequately risk assess and protect.
