Stainless Steel MMA Electrodes.

This new series of rutile coated stainless electrodes covers most of the 300-series has been added to the Sif range. With a flux coating containing titanium oxide, these electrodes provide a crisp arc strike and produce a smooth arc with little spatter resulting a aphetically pleasing weld appearance and self-releasing slag.

SifChrome electrodes can be operated in AC or DC+ mode and can be used for downhand, fillet, vertical up and overhead applications.

All SifChrome electrodes are supplied in 4kg hermetically sealed cans with ring-pull opening and plastic sealing cap to protect from atmospheric contamination once opened.

SifChrome 308L is designed to weld austenitic stainless steels 304 in dairy and cold storage applications and has a U.T.S Ultimate Tensile Strength >550N/mm2. This electrode is available in 2.5mm, 3.2mm and 4.0mm diameters.

SifChrome 312 contains a high level of Cr/Ni for the welding of difficult-to-weld steels such as armour plate, austenitic Mn steel, high carbon and Cr/Ni steels and has a U.T.S > 800N/mm2. It is available in 2.5mm, 3.2mm 4.0mm diameters.

SifChrome 316L is designed to weld molybdenum alloyed 18/12 and similar Cr/Ni/Mo steels producing welds with high resistance against general and intergranular corrosion and has a U.T.S > 550N/mm2. It is available in 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.2mm and 4.mm diameters

SifChrome 316L CRYO is a low grade carbon stainless steel electrode that is ideal for applications where the mechanical requirements are tough as the weld produced has a good impact toughness at low temperatures and a high resistance to cracking with a U.T.S > 550N/mm2. It is available in 2.5mm and 3.2mm diameters.
